BARRY PARK

Public BBQ

Stumbling upon Barry Park feels like discovering a secret that locals have been keeping to themselves. Tucked just behind Fingal Beach, this unassuming spot delivers one of the most spectacular coastal panoramas on the NSW coast. The viewing platform perches you perfectly above Fingal Bay, with the Pacific stretching endlessly toward Fingal Island. What makes this place special isn't just the jaw-dropping views – though watching whales and dolphins cruise past certainly doesn't hurt. It's the thoughtful setup: five picnic tables positioned for maximum scenery, spotless toilets, and BBQ facilities that actually work. The 30-metre walk from the car park hardly counts as exercise, yet you're rewarded with views that rival any postcard. The real adventure begins with the walking trails. The 2km boardwalk to Boulder Bay via Fingal Ridge offers serious bush walking without the serious commitment, while shorter tracks cater to families with younger children.
